Very high resolution seismic survey in the Chioggia-Venezia lagoon
OBJECTIVE
The
objective of this project was to characterize the most recent (Late Quaternary)
sediments until a maximum depth of 30 m. This work was the build the Venezia and
Chioggia-Malamocco Sheets (Carta Geologica d'Italia scale 1:50.000, 148-149) for APAT (Regione Veneto).
We had mapped the geological subsurfaces.
It involved the acquisition of very high resolution seismic profiles for a total amount of 200Km. We collected the data with our Boomer.
The interpretation was conducted by calibrating the monochannel seismic data with the available stratigraphical data from wells.
